Nouveau Nook

Without further delay...

And another (more floor, less ceiling):

Who would have thought that Pellegrino added privacy? (It IS water, after all...)

Our lockable pantry door. I have seriously thought about making a chain so I can wear the key around my neck like the first mistress of the house. (I still haven't cleaned the paint off of this handle, but pretend that I have.)

And just so everyone can appreciate the cleanliness of the floor, before:

...and after (two putty knives, three destroyed scrubbing brushes, uncountable layers of slime, scum, and caked-on grease, three kinds of highly toxic cleanser, and four years of my life):

  1. So beautiful! But I think that I like the hot pink benches better. I miss you! How are you? What have you been up to, other than the house? Tell the hubby hi.

  2. Wow I am speechless. That nook job is amazing. LOVE the bottles. And those four years of your life spent on the floor totally looks like it was worth it!

  3. Thanks, Rach. I'm telling you--Baltimore really isn't THAT far from Provo.

And Ms. Angell. You're SO close to me now AND Ben's out of the country, so isn't it about time for a little trip down here? I just miss you too much.

  4. I love the nook! It is completely charming. The floor is amazing and an example of effort I have never put in to cleaning (though I imagine I'll be more interested in such hard work when I actually own the home). As for the key...you should definitely wear it.
